States of consciousness (four)
  • Unconsciousness, the state which exists in certain phases of sleep and the coma.
  • Waking consciousness, in which man is either conscious of what is happening inside him or outside of him, but not both at the same time.
  • Consciousness of oneself, in which you are conscious, for example, of your posture while you are reading this sentence.
  • Objective consciousness, which includes consciousness of oneself together with the supersensible perception of finer energies and forces.
