Identification
The mechanical state that characterises man. His whole attention, and thus his whole identity, is captured by one thing, either inside or outside of himself, one thought, one emotion, or one situation - for example, a physical pain or annoyance. He is thus submerged in, a prisoner of this fragment (or little "I") that experiences the situation and disappears into it completely. In order to come out of identification, the work consists in distancing oneself from the role one is playing, becoming instead the witness of this role.
