Justification
Justification is based on the assumption that everything we do can be justified in one way or another. This permanent mechanism makes us acceptable in our own and other people's eyes and allows us to live more easily with ourselves - whatever we do, we have good excuses for doing it. This mechanism prevents us from being confronted with what is false in our attitudes, and what other people may perceive as such. Justification is thus always a form of lying.
